چکیده
Undifferentiated carcinoma of the pancreas with osteoclast-like giant cells is an exceptionally rare malignancy, fewer than 100 cases reported to date. While histological features this entity have been well described, cytological diagnosis can present a challenge. This case report describes fine needle aspirate from heterogenous pancreatic mass in 75-year-old man. The smears revealed singularly dispersed and clustered marked atypia background histiocytes multinucleated cells. Immunohistochemistry performed on cell block showed weak immunoreactivity amongst atypical for CK8/18 absent staining CK7 SOX10. Both stained positive CD68. Overall, morphological immunohistochemical were suggestive undifferentiated These tumours are important recognise as absence conventional ductal adenocarcinoma they may more favourable prognosis.1 Reference 1. Undifferentiated Pancreatic Carcinoma with Osteoclast-Like Giant Cells: a Case Report
Undifferentiated pancreatic carcinoma with osteoclast-like giant cells (UPC-OGCs) is a rare neoplasm with frequency of 0.2 % of reported pancreatic carcinomas [1]. Tumors with osteoclast-like giant cells have rarely been reported in a variety of extra-skeletal sites. On the alimentary tract, the pancreas is the most concerned [2, 3]. A number of terms have been used to describe variants of undi...

Undifferentiated carcinoma with osteoclast-like giant cells is a rare pancreatic neoplasm, with a possible cystic pattern, includes an adenocarcinoma component and giant cell mimicking osteoclastic bone tumor. We report the case of a 72-year woman admitted for jaundice and epigastric pain. Abdominal ultrasound and computed tomography scan revealed a 6 x 5 cm cystic and solid tumor of the pancre...
متن کاملUndifferentiated Gallbladder Carcinoma with Osteoclast-like Giant Cells
Undifferentiated carcinoma with osteoclast-like giant cells (OGCs) is the least common type of gallbladder carcinoma. Here, the author presents a case of undifferentiated gallbladder carcinoma with OGCs in an 81-year-old male patient. Grossly, the tumor was a 10×7 cm sized, polypoid, lumen-filling mass with extensive hemorrhage and necrosis. Microscopically, the tumor was composed of pleomorphi...

Undifferentiated carcinoma of the pancreas with osteoclast-like giant cells (UCPOGC) is an extremely rare non-endocrine pancreatic tumor. To date, some cases have been reported, however, histogenesis and biologic behavior of UCPOGC remain controversial. We report a case of an UCPOGC in a 54-year-old female, who presented with a three-month history of recurrent abdominal pain without any incenti...
متن کاملCase Report of Undifferentiated Endometrial Sarcoma in Association with Osteoclast-Like Giant Cells
We describe the clinical, gross and microscopic features of undifferentiated uterine stromal sarcoma associated with osteoclast-like giant cells. A case of low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma is already described in association with osteoclast-like giant cells; however, the current case differs in that the tumor was a high grade and did not show any evidence of smooth muscle or epithelioid di...
